Living and Working in the USA

 

Session 1:

Geographic and Demographic Information about the USA

Learn more about the USA, its land and its people. Develop awareness for the dimension of the country and what impact this may have on doing business in the USA.

Session 2:

  Living in the USA

This session will address a wide variety of areas of the daily life in the USA. Learn about the differences in lifestyle and daily routine tasks. Develop awareness for the changes that may occur to you and your family living in the USA. 

Session 3:

Business Etiquette

This session provides an overview about the business etiquette in the USA.

Session 4:

Challenges of Working in a Multi-Cultural Environment

This session will help you to develop awareness for the challenges working with multi-national teams or/and managing responsibilities across international borders. 

Session 5:

(included in One-on-One Training and Seminars only; attendees of the Web Seminar training are eligible to purchase session 5 in addition)

Being Successful in Specific Industries

This session is a personal discussion between the attendee(s) and the instructor following session 1 - 4. It generally addresses differences in specific professional areas, e.g. law, marketing, accounting, as well as specific industries, e.g. automotive industry, chemical industry,  manufacturing industry etc. The session can help you to

  • get an easier start for your career in the USA

  • identify areas, where you might consider additional training or seminars to make your assignment in the USA a success
